because he won't even try to hire competent assistants. We lose our most senior assistant coach this year and what does Stans do? He goes out and replaces him with a Juco coach. We have a VERY weak overall coaching staff to be in the SEC and its showing.

He didn't just replace him with a JUCO coach, he hired George friggin Brooks who wasn't even a good player when he was at MSU. And if memory serves me correctly was ALSO a defection from MSU himself.

But your reasons are terrible. Since whenhas being a good player had anything at all to do with being a good coach. Plenty of very successful coachs rode the bench. Also, if Brooks left MSU I suspect it was because his scholarship wasn't going to be renewed.

George was not overly talented, especially on the offensive end, but his effort was never in question.
