has to be the worst I've ever seen in my life. What kind of full court press was that and why the hell were they waiting to foul after that? Wow he is an awful coach!!

I'm pretty sure during the time out with 24 seconds left, I heard Stans say "I don't care what they do, just foul them."

He did some questionable things, but it all comes down to the players not performing

Tho the trap almost worked fouling immediately would have lenghtened the game and probably given us another shot at tying it up.

I don't know if he was scared to press that JV would be left alone with 4 fouls or what but that was CRITICAL time that was wasted in a close game.

For the first 30 minutes of every ballgame, it's "where's the offense??" "whaaaa". And then it suddenly switches to "why didn't we foul to extend the game" (said game was, just a few minutes ago, a blowout). Sigh. Just, sigh. You idiots need to either pick your bitchin', or give Stans credit for getting us back into these games like he does. ****, Vandy shot the cover off the ball tonight, got all the calls, all the bounces, and we STILL had a chance to win.

right - what would you have him do? foul? quit getting exicution and coaching confused - talk about the offense - talk about the lack of creativity early on - but don't talk about the last 90 seconds of the game. We were at Vandy's gym with 10 sseconds left and had a shot to tie - we would have taken that from the get-go if you had asked anyone.

Do Kodi's ridiculous 3 attempts that brick off the side of the backboard not count?

He had a good run in this game.. and on 2 of his baskets he left his man wide open on the other end for 2... they should take those off his point total.

Give yourself a chance at the trap, but when the ball advances foul. Would have given us an extra chance. Oh well. Awful management at the end.

for a good bit of the first half and he held his own. I thought he did a good job. Ravern made everyone look bad.

Defense aside, why would you take out the guy that single handedly got us back in the game for 6 minutes?

how about with 28 seconds left and we're down 1 point and we don't foul, instead we let them run 22 seconds off the clock!!! if you dont get the turnover from the pres in the first 5 seconds or so you have to foul to stop the clock!

I thought Kodi played great in the second half. He single handedly kept us afloat at the start of the 2nd half. His D was was just ok, but his offense was great. Stans 17ed up at the end. He told them not to foul. They pressured the guy but they were not trying to foul him, for God's sake the players were bodying Beal on the sideline with their hands in the air as in "I'm not fouling, I'm not fouling." I thought we showed some heart, and some grit, but I don't give the credit to Stansbury. Stewart just finally decided he was gonna get us back in the game by himself. I thought our team D was better at times in the second half. We would go through great stretches then give up a basket in transition and thats what got us beat. I liked the Kodi, Osby, and Jarvis lineup. Gives us some beef in the middle. Bost coming back after gettin hurt and hittin that shot is why he has everything you want in a PG. He took some dumb shots, but showed some nuts on that one. Thought we played our best since the Ole Miss game as a whole team for an entire game.

Stans was not to blame for this one. The only way he could remotely be blamed for this is his lack of fundamental coaching. We are an awful awful at fundamentals. Obviously Jody knows nothing about her basketball.

First off rick didn't get us back, Barry did..

And exactly! dee hit that three to bring us within 1 so the logical coach will press on the in bounds but it appearred as if we bluffed a press and let them just walk the ball up the court and then we don't even foul until like 6 seconds left.
Terrible......

That makes absolutely no sense at all. You just said one thing and then the exact opposite.....

I just think we are not at all fundamentally sound. If you read more you would realize that most people usually say one thing and then the exact opposite. Especially me. All of us are just trying to sound like we know something more than the next guy. But when girls like you post its just all fun and games.

This is two losses in a row where at the end of the game when we needed to foul we didn't. Any coach in their right mind would make sure that their players fouled and if they didn't then it is his fault for not stressing it. Down 1 with 15 seconds left and we foul while they are shooting a lay up with 6 seconds to play, hell we are lucky that he didn't make the layup and get a 3 point play out of it. All of that comes down to coaching. One game I may blame the players but two games in a row of not fouling when you needed to that is on the coach.

know to foul quick unless you get the steal right away. Doesn't take a 500,00 post cound on SPS to figure that out.

Did not get us back into this game. No matter what you think and I honestly have not liked this guy since his freshman year but Barry Stewart single handedly took over the game for about a minute and got us back into the game. It was nothing that Stans did but keep living in your fantasy world that coaches do no wrong and it is always the players fault?
