A hypothteical question: It's hypothetical because of who it involves, because we know there's no chance in hell he stays for the full time here at MSU........but, if/when he gets cleared to play this season,he/we decide not to play him. Could we concievably redshirt him this year ?

answer to your hypothetical question: If Sidney gets cleared then he would not get a redshirt. He would play the remainder of games left and either a) go in the draft (most likely) or b) come back and play his sophomore year then go in the draft.

It would be great (since we are talking about a hypothetical situation) if he was cleared and helped us make a run in the final stretch of this season then dominate for a full season next year. Would be a nice 17 you from Sidney to the NCAA to play next year and be a lottery pick in the '11 NBA draft. I stopped holding my breath some time ago and have concluded that I will never see Sidney in a state jersey. It is nice to think about though. I still find myself wondering what ifs when I see Monta Ellis highlights.
