Surprisingly no. If we can finally hold a team to less than 50% from the three point line then I think we win by 12-15 points.

Now the games @ Auburn and @ LSU I am very worried about. I will be stunned if we win both of those.

It hasn't gotten ugly for anyone else. I'm sure they will be busting threes and everyone will ***** about how everyone shoots lights out against us.

Auburn will defend but I can't see them matching up with us. Interestingly, I watched the Gators last night and they hit 3 total threes the whole game. Murphy couldn't throw it in the ocean against the Cocks but put up a couple of long threes against us and made them. Hard to understand that because he wasn't anymore open last night than he was against us. Sooner or later the law of averages should be in our favor but it does seem some teams can throw up some prayers and make them against us and it has nothing to do with defense ala the two late in regulation for Vandy and the same from LSU who banked one in. We need to winat least 4 of the next5 and then get a split in the next four to lock down a bye in the SEC tourney. A win over Kentucky is the only game that will really help our RPI.

...recently I watched UGA play Auburn @ Auburn on TV.

It was at least 5 minutes into the game before Auburn scored a basket...on their own damn home court.

It is hard to describe how bad this Auburn basketball team is, so I will not even attempt. (Not to mention UGA...they are equally bad).

I can say with 100% conviction that if Stansbury loses to Auburn this year (@ MSU or @Auburn, it doesn't matter) then Stansbury should be fired on the spot.

to have a legitimate shot at getting into the 4-6 seed range (NCAAT). If we're going to finally make the S16 this year, a 6 seed is the minimum that gives us a legit shot.

we've had all week off so the legs will be fresh , but sometimes time off hurts shooting . Gotta win these 3 at home and take at least 1 on the road b/t LSU and Auburn . 5-0 and no less than 4-1 should be our goal these next 5 .

Nah. We are fresh. Auburn isn't on our level. We are at home. We will handle Auburn. I was just making the point that there is no reason toexpect us to win big in a conference game. Is that unreasonable? Hell no it isn't. My biggest fear is that Stansbury might have focused too much on recooperation this week and not run the boys any. I don't know what he did though, so it's not really fair of me to say that. I just am not gonna predict a blowout when we basically have 7 players. I am just so tired of seeing us run out of gas. Hopefully the S&C people handled the time off in the right way, but the S&C on the bball program is very questionable so we will see. Considering the circumstances with this team right now, there's just no reason to expect big wins. That's all I was saying. So tell me where I'm wrong, please.

Never said you were wrong about your post. Every once in a while on SPS people post things that aren't exaclty serious discussion.

As bad as Auburn was in that game Ronny, they still won. That's how bad Georgia is. But Auburn has only lost one game at home this year, to Kentucky, a game in which they had the lead for a portion of the second half and were in it until the last ~5 minutes.
