I caught the tail end of it, but basically he was saying that he was ready to hear from Sidney if he was going to come back next year or not. I thought it was odd that he said that because I figured that he was gone for sure. Stansbury didn't have to make that comment, but he did. A scholarship opens up if he leaves and I guess that he wants to figure out if to use it this year on a prep or juco forward or eat it and use it for the 2011 class. David Murray said on Gene's page yesterday that he heard that Sidney wanted to come back next year, but would have to weight out all of his options.
Sidney projects as a mid to late second round draft pick right now. He's out of shape, but could get into shape fairly quickly if he decided to enter the draft. I'm sure that Stansbury and staff is selling Renardo on coming back and playing himself into a first round or top 15 pick. He and his boy Osby could possibly start together and the ball would go through Sidney. I would assume that the NCAA would clear him by next season. I know that may only be a pipe dream, but it's possible. I have heard from some people close to the program that he is really enjoying his time at MSU, but I don't know if it'll be enough to come back. Thoughts?
