The title for the next film was announced today. It's a pretty safe bet that we'll get the first trailer in April at Celebration.

Look...if this series doesn't feature at least one, final EPIC all the freaking marbles Luke Skywalker good vs all the evil in the universe light sabre duel in which Luke vanquishes the dark side of the force for all eternity and makes it his bytch then the last 40 years has all been for nothing.
Wrong. It happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Just because you weren't there to see it doesn't make it false. I view these films as a historical reenactments. Should be shown on the history channel.

Yep, they played it ultra-safe and unoriginal as hell with TFA. "Let's blow up a big round planet killing thing!"

George Lucas lost his creative mind sometime after Empire Strikes Back. We know this because...Ewoks. The decades between ROTJ and the prequels were further degenerative on his creative mind, culminating in...Jar Jar Binks.
I agree they are doing better than Lucas - I enjoyed TFA - but Lucas set that bar pretty low for them.
This franchise needs to stop dicking around and get to the point, and they have about 5 more hours of film to do it in. Disney has demonstrated that when the table is set for them, they can make a good, but by no means great (Rogue One) movie and make over a billion bucks with it. I hope safe and unoriginal is not the path they intend to continue on.

Ewoks get hate because of 80's film. No CGI in rouge 1 they were actually pretty cool. That being said if you discount Star Wars you're saying a multi billion dollar movie series isn't good, which in itself is ignorant
