I think this 5th episode - despite several flaws - and the 3rd episode have been the best. I’m at about a soft 7/10 rating for the series overall and hoping for a great conclusion.

To me the main problem for this show has been inconsistency. There have been VERY good moments cut by glaring weaknesses.

Vader’s scenes have been pretty great. While a bit of a curmudgeon, I still like Obi-wan. Reva and Leia have improved from the early episodes, but are still the weak link - along with some ridiculous scenarios in the plot like others have mentioned - surviving a light saber stab. Not finishing off a victim. Stopping one ship with the force but not another. Kid fixing all the important tech, storm troopers getting slaughtered at an insane clip. I guess that last one isn’t new, lol, but geez.

I’m just frustrated it hasn’t been more consistent.

Really enjoyed the series. Wonder if they’re going to continue it. Hopefully they do.

GD, Reva is garbage. Woke Disney had to make her the “real hero.” Eff that. Worst character in any Star Wars ever. Sucks the life out of it every time she’s on screen. She’s a shoe horned/forced character and it could not be more obvious.

Vader and Kenobi were great. Shocking! What fans actually want to see that; not the Reva show.

She's gonna get her own show and you will like it or they'll say bad things about you. It's the new Disney way.

Reva and haja we're both completely throw away characters inserted for solely one purpose. Ice cube Jr much the same.

Seriously. Remove them all and none of the substance changes.

As an aside surprised to see how old Jimmy Smits looked. Edgerton was low key spot on the curmudgeon Owen. McGregor was just incredible. I know we said that here more than once but can't be said enough imo

The whole show is one giant plot hole -- a fun, pretty well done plot hole.

If your expectations are Empire, that was terrible. If you compare it to your generic TV show, it's amazing. I still don't get the Reva or Hajee hate. I liked both characters. Disney's stupid tendency to characterize any criticism as racism, sexism, transphobia, ablism, blah blah blah is utterly obnoxious but that doesn't mean the show sucks.

Thanks to a relatively strong finale, I give the series a 7/10. 7 is good. I was hoping (not expecting) to be blown away, or at least feeling it was very good (8/10), but didn’t. Still, 7/10 is good. While there were more cringey moments, bad acting and writing/plot holes than I would have liked, there were certainly very strong moments. You have to try to mess up having Vader and Kenobi on screen!

Has there ever been a Star Wars movie that didn’t have at least some bad acting, cringe moments, or plot holes? Nostalgia is quite a filter.

Is part of being force sensitive that you can fix electronic things? Anakin made a C3PO, Qui-Gon fixed a droid in episode one. Luke fixes moisture evaporators, Reva and Obi-Wan both fixed and “fixed” the little ladybug droid thing. Seems like a common thread.
Some of the old "Legends" material explicitly had mechanical aptitude as something that at least ran in the Skywalker family.

I enjoyed the show quite a bit, altho I’m not a die hard. Was the most entertaining out of the SW shows so far for me.

A little kid didn’t fix all the important tech. She literally just found the red plug and plugged it back in. Amazingly, it took her half an episode to do it.

It’s a science fiction tv show, man. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy the ride.

I loved it.

But she couldn't fix her droid that it took Reva .5 seconds to fix.

I'm sure you're right about the mechanical aptitude because Luke was always tinkering on something in a new hope and empire. Just don't get the major discrepancy of how little Leia went from incapable of doing anything to saving the group

Again, she plugged in a cord that a droid had unplugged. That was the nearly impossible task she completed. She was the only one small enough to fit in the electrical box.

Really enjoyed the Obi Wan battles with Vader. I overlooked the fairytale aspect of it and pretty much all the SW movies in order to better enjoy them.

I'd just like to note -- it's a shame that Natalie Portman's never been in a Star Wars movie. Right? XD
