Both teams looked really good at scrimmage tonight. It’s going to be a good one in Boonville.

Nobody going to speak about a scrimmage. I thought the Rams looked solid upfront and will used some different formations in the run game. QB Best looked good on downfield throws. Defense is going to be stout especially the front 7.

East Wilkes was using their speed in the backfield. Guessford looked very impressive.

Would like to hear some others opinions?

This should be a good game for both teams, finding what and where to place players moving up to their best capable positions. I don't see a lopsided win for either team, so support your teams. I see a close game like last year.

We got East wilkes week 1. I know they got some speed. Dont know anything else about them.

Im not sure about our squad this year. I know we have the back field returning with some speedsters and several lineman returning. Im curious to see how our QB does. We lost our QB from last year due to graduation and the JV QB from last year is who im being told is the starter for varsity this year. A lot to be discovered from him. Looking forward to getting the season started.

I think Mt Airy by 2-3 scores in that game. Starmount is a year away from starting a winning streak against Mt Airy.

On a side note Starmount's JV team looks nasty. Multiple weapons. Very physical running. Doesn't look like a normal JV team in my opinion. They should go undefeated.

It looks like they have good team speed but not much overall size. It will be interesting to see how that plays out

East and Starmount looked solid. Good overall team speed by both squads. Both offensive and defensive backfields for both teams made some key plays. EW as someone said earlier seems to lack size overall but you can tell they have been in the weight room and look pretty strong despite their overall lack of size. It may take the QB a lil time to gel with the offense and be able to command the option as well as the Qb last year.. He seems to have some wheels… but that option is predicated on great decision making and identifying the proper read keys every time . Should be fun to watch.

MA is loaded both sides of ball with the starters but not much depth im hearing. If healthy will be playing in December.

Mt Airy most likely will make it to the Shelby game barring any injuries but playing Shelby will be the end of the season for them. If it weren't for the realignment probably would've had a good possibility to play Tarboro again.
