Actually no thanks for proving me right! Cant even get past the Blackhawks enjoy your L buddy I think this conversation is sealed now. My points been proven. Open your eyes and see it was never the OC it’s more than that
I wish any of y’all knew a damn thing about football. It was always the old OC. He didn’t have a first down in the first half of either the last two games. I guarantee you over 250 yards of offense tonight by starmount maybe even 300. 3 turnovers will always beat you. That’s football. So be it.
if any of you think it was the new OCs fault you’re wrong. Respectfully whenever stats are uploaded to MaxPreps tag me once you’ve looked at them and tell me I’m wrong.
I have no idea who the new OC is but I can tell you tonight was not on him after watching that game. West made plays when they needed to and starmount shot themselves in the foot.
If I am correct this will be only the 4th or 5th time I believe West Wilkes has beaten Starmount in program history. It hasn’t happened hardly at all. Congrats to the Blackhawks.
Respectfully EW defense was every bit as good as Starmounts if not better. Alleghany didn’t see many 1st downs in the 1st half or entire game for that matter against EW….Sometimes you run into good defenses and refs … it happens
Starmounts defense is very good. WW nor Alleghany’s are nothing to sleep on. I feel EW dominated WW and Alleghany especially in the 2nd half. I feel the Ref’s took the game completely out of EW hand @ Starmount and made it a travesty to watch two great teams but one being nullified by every big play by the refs… tantrum over Go Cards!

Did it ever dawn on you that the reason you didn't have many first downs the last two games is because you was playing a defense just as good if not better than yours? Like open your eyes.
Clearly wasn't at the game but was keeping up on maxpreps. Why why why are you throwing the ball with the lead and under 4 min to go? Blame the turnovers if you wish, but why are the COACHES calling this kinda play?
Giving credit to WW coach for saving his timeouts and punting the ball with less than 2 mins in the game.,

Good lord you’re dumb. The new oc was supposed to overhaul an offense in 3 practices and a walk through? Do you know anything about how football works?
As much as I love what Pardue has been doing for the program, especially defensively, this loss is on him. He put Reeves in the position to call the plays and anyone with any football sense knows that you don't throw the ball on your own 10-15 yard line with the lead and 1:45 to play with a great defense to protect the lead and a punter that averages nearly 50 yards a punt. Anyone that does something like that should never be able to call any plays again in my opinion.
The pass play on your own side of the field with the lead and WW with maybe only one time out and you guys have an excellent punter boarders on a lil bit of arrogance…and bad play-calling. You guys have a stellar D… in most instances you pound the rock and trust your D…. Not put it in the air and risk it with the lead and time or your side… just sayin yall deserve that L!

Yeah, just a crap showing. It happens. Unfortunately, this one will cost them playoff seeding and an outright conference championship.
I hope you along with all the other starmount faithful understands that the same offense you was running last night is the same offense as the old OC was running. They were running the same schemes, concepts and everything that the old OC had put in the only difference was just someone else calling a run or pass lol. The old OC just happened to get you past the 2 toughest teams in the conference while the new OC cost you a unnecessary loss
Yes the Starmount crowd is smart enough to know that you don’t completely change schemes in 3 days. We also know that 20 points is more than 6 and 7 points or 16 points in regulation.
Yeah you normally score more points against lesser teams and less points against better teams. That’s usually how it works man
You’re right. I’m not sure what you’re right about because I don’t even know what point you’re trying to make, but you’re right.
Not really lamenting last nights loss, considering the #1 seed won’t be on the Ram’s back as a target with a bye first round. In fact, with the current 8 classification break down, I don’t think it’s wise to not play the first week of the playoffs. Starmount has a tradition of playing with more resolve away in the playoffs, the fan base travels well, and there is not as much complacency as playing at home and the fans have more energy. Rams have beat fair share of playoff teams away, from Maiden, Charlotte Catholic, West Montgomery, South Stanley, and even South Columbus in Tabor City. Josh should remember that one well! Let the chips fall, and welcome Murphy to the top of RPI this week.

No offense to Starmount but I’ve seen Murphy on film and Starmount as well - Murphy would beat WW by 28+ - styles make fights I know but sounds like trouble on one side of the ball and Monty Chipman is a dang good coach and sounds like he been scapegoated and excuses are a plenty after a 1 point win over a good Alleghany team and a loss to a good West Wilkes team…starmount is a great program and Pardue does a great job. I questioned starmount’s number 2 ncpreps ranking weeks ago…they are still talented enough to make a run for sure - time will tell
Just what I was thinking! WTH do these people think he would change the offense in just 3 days in HS. Only thing that changes is as you said the play calling. Plays are the same plays.
Starmount could easily have 4 losses right now. 1 play in Alleghany game and Ew game was difference in winning and losing. Im hearing Monty ask 2 players on D to play both ways that would really help the offense and they refused to.

The players shouldn't have the option of not playing both ways if asked. Of course that's just hearsay but if true, then shame on the staff for allowing that type of behavior.
So the rumor is that the OC quit because he can't get kids to play both ways? How many kids have you seen that didn't want to play on offense? I get the QB maybe not playing defense every series, but you rarely have some 16 year old corner that is like, nah I don't want to catch touchdown passes.
0. As I've previously stated your D is legit (not best in the state) and the only reason we lost that game was because of special teams.
Yall are the ones bashing your old OC when the lowest points yall scored and least yards was against good teams. That's kind of how it works.
I haven't seen anyone bash him. We have just pointed out the obvious. The weakness of the team is the offense.
Most people have said things like, "I like him and he had a good track record at other places, but it didn't work out for some reason."
Then the short bus dropped off the MA people who tried to "durr hurr I told you so" Starmount fans because the offense didn't look like 2019 East Surry after 3 practices.
LOL…. Those zero points will forever be a folklore for EW it is what is…7-0 is as bad as 49-0 apparently 0 is 0 with an offense as good as EW it shouldn’t have happened… The Rams played well… they had a lil help… but definitely played well defensively…
Im pretty sure saying the offensive play calling and the offense not producing is a slap in the face to the OC.
All im saying is, you've said the offense hasnt produced in certain games. Those games were against good teams. What other expectation do you have when playing good teams?
