On paper, they're the favorite and have the big names like Lattimore, Jeffery, Clowney, Gilmore, Ingram, etc. However, as the week has gone on, I'm feeling more confident as the days go by. Statistically, we're not that far apart. You could argue that the stats are skewed because we've played Memphis and La. Tech, however, SC has played East Carolina (swiss cheese defense), Navy and Vandy (not as weak as the others, but they're still Vandy). You could also argue that had we not already played LSU, our offensive stats might look a little better. I suppose a better comparison would be to look at our games versus common opponents (AU/UGA).

of the two teams, which I think favors SC. They looked very good against UK and you didn't look so good against UAB. It will be interesting to see what Ellis Johnson does against Russell/Relf.

The defense gave up three points. There seemed to be some missed tackles, but it's still only three points. They played well and Banks actually dropped what had the potential to be yet another pick 6 for him.

As for the offense, the first half was sickening, and boooooring. It was bizarro opposite MSU in the second half. The first drive moved the ball, though it didn't result in a score. The next three were touchdowns. The last, which admittedly I heard on the radio, was apparently the backups running out the clock. It was a complete bust of a first half, and an almost perfect second half. No real trend there. Just schizophrenia and a new quarterback.

Then again, you could just say both MSU and USC played really bad teams and you can't really make any determination at all.

The second half of our season the Offense needs to be run like hte second half of the UAB game. If we can execute the Offense like that every week we have a shot to win some games especially with the way our Defense is playing now.

or have any letup on defense at all and have a chance. They have more talent and they really need to win this game to stay in the hunt for the East. I would just love to see us play an entiregame well on both sides of the ball against a quality opponet and see what the results are going to be.
