I was shocked at how we came out vs ASU!
We do that against UT and hold on somehow down the stretch and we have a chance.
UT has more athleticism at most every position than we do but we CANNOT have the stupid holding penalties, the false starts, the shanked punts and expect to be anywhere close to winning in the 4th Qrt.
I doubt we’ll see much no safety help on defense the rest of the season. Those long TD passes vs Arizona St were easy. It won’t be that easy going forward.

Hopefully the running game will take advantage. We need to be able to run clock and keep them off the field anyway.

For me - it's we scored early and held on. Early turnover where we get the ball deep in TN territory or scored immediately off the turnover.

They average over 200 yards/game rushing. That has been our weakest point defensively. They ran for almost 250 yds vs Syracuse and ran for 125 vs Georgia.
Agree, I think to have a chance it needs to look a lot like the Arizona State game, with the exception of a better 2nd half. Get the lead and hold on. TN is the more talented, explosive team. MSU needs the crowd to be electric, but especially to start the game, We need the crowd into the game for all 4 quarters.

TN running backs and DL didn't make the trip to Starkville

Lot of "ifs" with how we can win the game Saturday. I hope we win and I admit I am surprised at the Vegas line. I think Tn has too much offense for us to overcome. Hope I am wrong, 41-27.

If we get heat on Aguilar & force some mistakes. He's prone to ints. He's got 27 in his career. He had 5 multi int games last year & 1 this year.

A pick 6 will be the difference, hopefully. Hutzler will need to listen to his analysts.
