The last week of July I worked on 3 designs. I watched the committee meeting and took notes to seriously design the "perfect" flag. I felt the Vexillologist (Clay Moss) had a lot of pull/knowledge/experience & that the committee would really take in consideration his guidance. So, the 29th i submitted 4 designs (even tho the limit was 3) and planned to revisit my old designs to perfect them and submit 3 more before deadline (even tho it was against the rules). Then on the 30th, my investment of new flag came to a halt. My mom was rushed to Tupelo (battling Pulmonary Fibrosis for nearly a decade). On the 31st, she passed away. Yesterday was my first day back in office after dealing with a week-long of getting things lined up for my dad. I say all this because I only submitted 4 designs & only 1 was chosen. Other Mississippians (possibly some of you) submitted a lot of my earlier designs on my behalf. Because of this, I have 6 designs still in the running. So I wanted to say how grateful I am because i never had those extra 2 days to tweak. Anyway, I just wanted to thank all of you & the pack-admins for supporting me (here & social media). God Bless!
