Wednesday like the old first round games? Wisconsin's title games were played midweek mid-afternoon this year (Kenosha St Joe won and I was like wth are they playing on Wednesday afternoon).

Any keyboard warrior tough guys want to rent a bus tomorrow and drive I-55 and video document your journey on here? Yeah didn't think so. Sit down and shut up. IHSA makes a decision based on player and fans safety and you're ripping them apart. There's more to life than your little precious Saturday being messed up. They'll replay the games in a few days. Does it suck? Yes. Is it the right call? Yes. So stupid this is even a debate on here.
The IHSA didn't make the decision-- ISU did.

I get the safety issue. But it's too bad these games won't be played. It would be fun to watch in those conditions. I have a question...or two. First, has this ever happened where these games have been canceled? And, do you think these games would have been played 30, 40 or 50 years ago? If you were to say yes, then I see no reason not to play now. Roads and snow removal is better and vehicles are certainly better to handle snow than they were years ago, especially when driving rear wheel drive vehicles. JMO

The forecast though is calling for conditions that snow removal can't happen when it is coming down at the rates predicted and winds. Interstates can and have been closed down during snow events for hours at a time. Now if literally everyone who was going to be playing in these games and attending these games was already safely in the Bloomington-Normal area already, then that would perhaps change things. But with fan busses etc. coming down to rightfully cheer on their teams, it is better to postpone so as not to put all of them in a hazardous situation, while also still hopefully preserving their ability to enjoy the games when they are played.

Also the games are just postponed and will be played just not tomorrow sadly due to the weather.

Off topic love Stowe. Amazing skiing. Always try and grab a Vermonter at Harrison’s when I’m there.
Last Friday Saturday and Sunday were amazing opening days with 59 trails and 20+ miles open. Even GOAT and Star were open with generous snow cover and virtually no ice except at the waterfall. Next we head to Park city for a bachelor party in January and then to vail for a couple of weeks at the end of February

Yes they were played a short 10 years ago in the semis with much more dangerous conditions due to widespread black ice. To the OP whining about safety stay home and play baseball!

Care to bet your upcoming trips to Vail and Park City that the majority of this board has common sense and would agree with me in an overwhelming majority as compared to you? Put up or shut up.

Bill never turned my money down on Western or his original namesake bar on Archer Ave so he’d be game.

But instead, the game should be played in the rink across from Lawlors😂
I’m so old I remember Bill wrestling for the Vittum Vikings which became the Vittum Cats when they merged with the Cicero Bobcats. Do I have the right guy?

If you know who I am you know I only wager for charity so I’m guessing you’re new here making such a stupid proposal.

Nah been here as long as you have going back almost 20 years...unfortunately had to make a new profile due to the migration over here. I'm done debating this...you have your opinion and I have mine and clearly we aren't going to agree on this so no point in addressing it any more.

Alright, what about all the 4A Team members and fans? That game is starting at least a half hour late and conditions are not going to be great for when they go to head home after the 4A game.
Good point and I thought about that as well. The winter storm warning starts at midnight down there and 3 AM in the suburbs so should be enough time before the snow is projected to really come down.

I'll bet the officials are talking about cancelling the 4A game right now....
