I really feel like we can score 13-17 points in this years opener for a big victory

I see only one game like that scheduled. I know that's to maximize the number of viewers, but it sure dampens my interest.

Also, this year's opener should beat the hell out of last years opener (we hope.)

Miami (OH) vs. Buffalo is tempting. I was panicing until I noticed the dates and that not all of their slots were filled. Right now its one craptastic schedule with only a smattering of decent looking games.

I was hoping our game against Auburn on Sept 13 would get picked up for the late ESPN game but it looks like they have the slot filled already. I guess the deuce is still a possibility.

11:30 start. That weekend will likely see Georgia/South Carolina as the CBS game and Ark/TX as the ESPN game.

You guys have to remember that CBS has first pick of SEC games. That is why ESPN doesn't schedule SEC games prior to the season. They have the pickings after CBS each week.

I think ESPN gets to preselect 3 games a year though. I was told LSU/Auburn was one of them but don't see it on the schedule. ESPNdawg?

Preselect any games in general? Or 3 SEC match-ups? Or 3 games in which an SEC team plays?

I just remembered that little fact though.

on Ark/UT being the ABC afternoon game since it's being played in Big 12 country. We'll see, I suppose.

I had planned to fly in for this game considering it should be Bulldog Bash weekend, but the possibility of an 11:30 kick makes it less appealling.

Hell, if I'm not mistaken, we won all 3 of ours last year didn't we? Auburn, Kent., and Bama. And why not throw that Ole Miss win cause it was early too!

As for that day, I expect us to be on ESPN. CBS will take the USC/Georgia game. Texas/Ark. is a sure thing for ABC. ESPN will be looking for something that day and their isn't much more going on. They will want the coverage with Croom being 2-0.

Ark/Tx on ABC during the day. Do they even have a day game every week?

And there is no sugarcoating it, 11:30 home games suck.
