Let him be butt hurt. VA baseball was nothing before BOC and we finally had an AD with the ability to close a deal and keep his decision close to the vest until it was time too. Yeah a much more storied program just took your prized coach. You're right to be hurt about it but to think MSstate baseball is not a big deal is to think like lit.... he thought like shi......

I don't know the story other than snippets I've read here over the years.

Fact is, Ty Grisham wasn't good enough to play at State (he had 8 career ABs at Virginia) and his rich dad shouldn't have expected the school to just put him on the team because his dad is rich and famous. Pure ego.

Grisham was obviously a State fan long ago, but I don't think we've been his main allegiance in a very long time.

This was back at a time when there was basically no limit on the number of players who could be on the team. We had several people on the team back then who were basically equipment managers. A competent AD finds a spot for that kid and his dad’s money on the team.
