That may be true but he posted a pic training with Elijah Reed recently at aspirations. I will see if I can find the tweet.
I think it would have been difficult to get Matthews out of Cincy, especially after they put 3 DBs in the draft and one was #4.
They had a DB selected 49th overall this yearOnly natural since Chumlee puts so many defensive players in the NFL.

. I agree with you, idk why anyone would go there. Luckily for them a lot of people aren't like usI do not know if he is a lean, but he had some nice things to say about UT earlier this year. Vince Marrow is recruiting Conyer, so there is still reason to be hopeful. I remember everyone thought Oxendine was going to UT. Similar situation at the time, but Marrow got his guy.
Unfortunately, UT has a McDonalds being built into their stadium and they're handing out McDonald's bags by the boatload so hopefully now if it comes to it, we can out bid them for Conyer.
Since they are already under investigation for that, the Vols will have to find a different way to cheat this year.
Alontae Taylor signed out of HS with UT under Pruitt, Cade Mays their other draftees transferred from UGA sfter his sophomore year. When Mays transferred back they were all howling how they stole a 1st round pick OL from us, he went in the 6th round I believe. We were after Taylor hard, but he stayed home, cost himself a bunch of money too.
You know what says a lot? Look at all the recruiting class rankings o we the last 7 or 8 years between UT and UK, then look how many players each team had drafted the last 3 or 4 years. Says quite a bit don't you think

Think things are about to ramp up with camps and OV starting in early June. Not sure if that is considered imminent, but it's a month that you'll typically see a few commitments.

The evidence one can assess objectively says Barnhart is very smart and good at what he does. Results are results, no matter how bad a guy wants a beer. But this is a recruiting thread. Let us get back to the subject at hand.
I feel kinda bad for Wildcat football fans who check out this thread for recruiting updates, only to find off topic stuff from Vol and Bulldog fans. Can't we just put that stuff somewhere else guys?
From my perspective in Georgia, Stoops still has a shot at getting Paul Mubenga, Robert Billings, Connor Lew, Marcellius Pullium, and Stantavious Smith. That's what the regional analyst says on our radio. I know more about the Georgia kids, but would like to see William Spencer go ahead and verbal to Stoops.
If you are waiting on Karmello English, don't get your hopes up. Bama's to lose.

Depends on how hard they push for English. If they do, you are probably right. If not, Kentucky will have a good shot.
Chuck Kelly is recruiting English for Bama. Same coach who recruited Will Anderson, best player in the country this year. Guy on the radio said Bama is pushing for English's commitment, and will keep pushing unless they bag Brandon Inniss and Johntay Cook first. Bama's to lose, unfortunately.
