Is anybody disappointed with the low turnout? I think there should be at least 15,000 cowbells headed up I-55 for this game. The Dawgs took at least 30,000 to the Liberty Bowl. The #20 ranked team in the nation deserves more support than this IMO. Is there a problem and, if so, what is it? What say you? Color me "disappointed".

that only 4700 tickets have been sold through the MSU ticket office. Theysent a couple of thousand back to Memphis. You may be right. This seems very low. Maybe a lot of Memphis Bulldog fans are buying through the Memphis State ticket office.

where is the attendance calculator when you need it?

4700 sold through athletic ticket office (which probably includes the band, athletic admin, etc)
1000 will buy at the gate the day of the game to get a little better deal than $50 face value
1000 have bought through Univ of Memphis
____

around 7k MSU faithful

Memphis will bring that many fans at most so look for it to be about 50/50 Memphis/MSU,and the Liberty Bowl to be about half empty.

Just my opinion</p>

Maybe you got your MSU's confused. I'd ballpark 20-25,000 State fans at that game, minimum.

and won't buy tickets until about an hour before game time.

There'll be 15,000 MSU fans there, if not more.

that there are a ton of MSU fans that will buy tickets on gameday- walk-up or scalper. Decent chance that they might end up with better seats using either of those options than buying from MSU. Not to mention Stubhub.

We play 2 Thursday night games in a 3 weeks span. Most people aren't going to take 2 days vacation per game to travel to both. One is at home. One is on the road. One is against the worst D1 team in the country. One is against a Top 5 ranked conference opponent. The choice is easy.

I read on one of the boards that the ticket office is encouraging people to buy them through Memphis because you'll get better seating. I believe the visitor tickets are in the endzone & still the same $50 price.<div>
</div><div>Me & 5 others plan on walking up & buying before the game.</div>

I called our ticket office and they said they sent the remaining tix back in July because they were such crappy seats. They encouraged me to order them through Memphis State. Got section 117 rows 45 &46, pretty good seats. I would bet there will be at least 15,000 of the good guys there, 5,000 of them.

Got them from MSU, and they're directly behind the goalpost. I won't ever be within 40 yards of those seats.

if not more Maroon. I'll be there and I've told most people to buy before game. Last time I went and they were playing the Buzzards, when they were actually decent about 5 years ago, they were practically giving them away in the vast empty space better known as a parking lot. There were more Buzzards in the stands than Tigers.

I tried to buy through State about 3 weeks ago, but they were sold out. I bought 9 through Memphis's ticket office in section 118 as well.
