The MSU media folk put out some notes on the vandy series. I didn't realize how dominant vandy has been against us. Cohen is 4 and 13 since he's been here. From 2007 to 2011 Vandy won 12 straight.This is a series we use to dominate, but not since Corbin has been at Vandy. I think this is a big weekend not just for State but also for Cohen.

In Cohen's defense, he went 0-6 against them in his first two years after taking over a total dumpster fire, so you can't really take much away from those first two series. Since then, we've gone a more respectable 4-7 against Vandy- that also includes going 0-4 vs. them last year, when they kicked everyones *** and went 26-3 in conference play (an SEC record).
Vandy is an elite program. Everyone has struggled against them over the past several years.

Exactly. In fact, Vandy has lost only one regular season weekend series since we beat them in Starkville two years ago.
They have been ridiculously good over the past few years- so if you want to shame Cohen for not being successful against Vandy, you also have to look down on every other coach in the conference.
