Ole Miss Head Coach </a><a rel="nofollow" class="ARTICLELINK" href="http://www.olemisssports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=2600&ATCLID=1327756">Houston Nutt</p>

"I continue to appreciate the ongoing support of Chancellor Dan Jones and Athletics Director <span class="ARTICLELINK">Pete Boone</span>. We came to Ole Miss committed to building the type program that our fans deserve. Ole Miss is a great university and the quality of life in Oxford is the envy of others. I can't think of anywhere else we would like to be. There are so many positives here, and we're excited about the direction of the program. Our players are also excited and the response we are receiving from recruits and their parents is most gratifying. We appreciate the interest Kansas showed in our staff, but we are happy at Ole Miss and looking forward to the AT&T Cotton Bowl."</p>

Nothing in those statements that confirm if he's staying or leaving. It's all in how you say it.

you can't really take much out of those. Just like Saban saying that there was no way that he was going to be the next head coach of Alabama. Hell, he text yesterday that the rumored talks with Kansas were ********, then it was released today that he was going to interview with them.

Not saying he's staying or going, but hell how many times have you read this from some coach then seen him bolt?

crap. Same statement every coach who has left one job for another has said. Not saying he's going or staying, just saying this has no credibility or meaning at all.

He's not going anywhere. End of story. He never was and he was never seriously considering Kansas. I'd imagine he was probably leveraging something by not quashing this immediately. For better or worse, they are stuck with him for at least another year. Move on already.

please stop talking about this now so that we can get back to our regular schedule of what Cam Newton has to say.

/this Nutt stuff is a welcomed distraction to Cam Newton's flavor of the week.

I think most of us here never really believed any of it until this morning. It's just fun to play with their heads.

It's the fact that I log on to read and every single first page thread was about it. And it was never something that was actually going to happen. There has to be more going on. Basketball, recruiting, Heisman, etc...

You know that you can use it don't you?

There were already too many threads on Nutt, so I picked one to post in. Since then I've only responded directly to other posters' responses. I fail to see your point.

Carry on, then.

In general, over the years I do read more and post less, as I prefer to check in and enjoy the discussions and opinions of most on here. The whole saga the past 2 days just struck me as stupid so I posted about it. I did not intend to lead the revolution myself, however. So you are correct, I suppose I did just want to *****. My apologies.
