Sorry if this has been discussed, but what does everyone think of our new commercial? I just watched it for the first time and, eh, it's better than last years I guess but it still sucks, IMO. The voice over is awkward and boring and it doesn't actually say "Mississippi State" until the very end. Maybe it's just me but I was not impressed.

in the voiceover booth? Why is she laughing when she says our name at the end? Why do universities think their in game commercials have to always contain test tubes, lab coats, and fat old profs talking in a classroom? It's like that's the default position for any commercial that lacks creativity. Last year's commercial may have been tone deaf but at least it showed personality. No matter what you think of TSUN, their commercial does feel inviting and ends in a real memorable shot (the little kid clutching the banner while asleep). Meanwhile, we've got a student in front of a green screen and a guy wearing a fez. We do teach broadcasting here. If the people we pay good money to can't come up with any better, then let our students have a crack at it. Seriously, it can't get worse than a dude jumping around in a fez.
