Statistically speaking, which has been worse?

Simply because I don't feel like looking it up, what has statistically been worse at MSU? Football or women's basketball? The reason I ask is because I just read Veazey's entry about the women's team and the NCAA tournament and learned that they have only beaten LSU five times before last night. On top of that, a friend (read Brad Kray) told me they have never beaten UT. So which one is it?

sans a run early in this decade, and what looks to be a promising season this year, has been the worst sport fielded by MSU.

It is true, they are 0-29 all-time vs. Tennessee, and only three times has it been close (including this season). One of the aforementioned good teams got beat by 50.
Also of note: against:
Alabama they are 10-33
Arkansas 11-14
Auburn 12-29
Florida 18-17
Georgia 10-22
Kentucky 16-16
LSU 5-38
Ole Miss 16-60
Mississippi College 12-14
MUW 4-8
South Carolina 13-9
USM 13-21
Vandy 11-29

Another miestone: They have been playing SEC Women's basketball since 1981. They have played an average of 12-14 games per year for 28 years. They have yet to reach 100 SEC wins despite averaging 9-10 per season in the aforementioned four years of Thomas/White/Fambrough . They lost their first 36 SEC games in history before winning one. During a seven year stretch in the 80s, they went winless in the SEC five times.

All-time: 5 first team All-SEC players. They pick 8 per year. Thomas was SEC player of the year twice.

At least we have beaten every SEC team at least once in football. Honestly, we weren't even decent until Fanning came along. She's the best women's basketball coach we have ever had. That's all you need to know right there.

Women's basketball is what LT wanted MSU athletics to be- a bunch of sheep in the stands with no accountability from anyone, and a coach that will stay here forever.

But before Fanning, we were at one time 1-48 vs them. That's how much Fanning has improved the program.

Women's basketball is by 10000 miles worse than football in our history.

we have a winning record against Florida. Maybe that just means that they suck to, I don't know. Same for South Carolina.
