Auburn Stats v. Texas A&M:

11 for 25 passes for 9.4 yards an attempt.
60 rushes for 6.3 yards an attempt.

MSU Stats v. Texas A&M:

23 for 42 for 6.1 yards an attempt.
43 rushes for 7.0 yards an attempt.

TAKE AWAY 17 passes and turn them into rushes...what do you have? Auburn's gameplan. We threw the ball way too much. We played Russell too much and we ran Perk up the middle way too much.

Dak, JROB, Shumpert

25 carries for 251 yards, 10.04 yards per carry.

Perkins and Russell(Russell had one carry for 3 yards)

18 carries for 58 yards, 3.2 yards per carry.

This is basically apples and oranges. Auburn just runs the ball better than State does. A&M fixed the hole in the middle of their defense. That's why State kept running that same play up the middle in the first half with no success.

The offense didn't really start moving until over half-way through the 3rd qtr and all those long runs by Dak. Actually, we had one play: (LDP is in there somewhere)

13 passes came on our last three possessions. 4 of them was Tyler throwing at the very end. Kind of inflates that number when your down by 24 pts with 10 to play. And we still ran the ball 12 times on the last two scoring possessions. Finally you have to consider that Auburns QB is not near as good if a passer. 44% completion by your numbers.
