Russell needs 209 yards in the bowl game to become MSU's first 3,000 yard passer.

Bumphis needs 96 yards to reach 1,000 yards receiving to become the 2nd guy in school history to eclipse that mark.

Perkins needs 60 yards to reach 1,000 rushing, and while that's not all too impressive considering how that's become a normal occurrence... Most people questioned his ability to be a featured back.

It's hard for me to be all too upset with the season if we can do all 3.

Thanks man. That's pretty cool. Didn't realize Tyler was so close to 3k.Silver lining and all that.

Perkins' yards are deceptive. It was either big plays or 1-2 yard gains. That's the biggest knock on him, he doesn't move the chains consistently.

Generally he goes down on 1st contact. That's my issue with him being a feature back.

True, but I don't know if that was necessarily as much of Perkins as it was the OL. Go back and watch the Egg Bowl. When he finds the hole he's as good as any, the problem being there are never any holes.
