We all kid around here, but you take a lot of things over the line. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is fed up with your trolling. And that's exactly what you are and doing. Trying to bait us River fans to plead your case about this mythical River fan at Williamsburg you speak of. But it ain't gonna work man. So best of luck to whomever your team is. Have a good day SIR!
Defense. Turnovers. Missed opportunities for both teams. Penalties killing SR on 1st down after nice gains.
In all seriousness I witnessed the greatest game i have witnessed tonight in all sports. To go on the road to the #1 team in the state, down 14-0 midway through the 3rd. Score 21 unanswered. Then hold them on defense to win the game! Of course there was some celebration but they still took time to pray together after the game. Best team in the state? Not for me to decide. But what I can say is there the best kids as people, best "family", and most strong willed kids you will run across. Heck of a win tonight!
I do not think LB was #1 team in state. I knew SR was good, and I just could not see the Golden Eagles getting beat last night.
Vhsl had them #1. Were they #1? Defensive wise they were right up there with Blacksburg D last year. Coach wise? Excellent play calling. Offensive wise? They could grind that clock and chunk away for first downs. There the best all around team I have witnessed SR playing. Someone may bring up Blacksburg... Blacksburg was a dynamic squad, much respect to them, and very deserving of the state title. But I will say with this yrs defense for Staunton River I think it would have been a different outcome. Just my opinion.
