As a life long State fan, I can tell you that it is almost a love hate
relationship. No one can run down State like a State fan. Other fan bases can roll out their tired Moo U jokes or Ag School jokes, but they don't even compare to what a State fan will say about State after a loss. After years of watching State snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, you really can't blame us. In fact a buddy of mine and I have a slogan, every time it looks like something good will happen and we get slapped with an injury or probation for some petty offense or a bad call. We roll out the phrase, "Somebody hates us." I think all the years of negativity are what makes this run great. After watching this program throw away the Final Four, the SEC Championship game and just show up in Omaha, State finally has a team that wants to win it all. I say keep on abandoning all hope ye who cheer for the maroon and white. Why mess with the mojo now?
