I always thought they said on TV that a passing team has an advantage in wet weather because they know when and where they are going to make their cuts and the defense doesn't?

In a good rain , tough to run routes, grip the ball to throw well and catch and the rain really affects the intended trajectory. That old axiom was valid on grass but not the new anti slip artificial surfaces today. (Lafayette's field is the same surface as W&M football field)

Frankly, a turf field is better than an artificial surface in the rain. The gloves don't work in the rain. You actually need to know how to catch and then you need to adjust more.

If it's wet, a team like Lafayette has a significant advantage over an WA offense.

We will take any advantage we can get.,,,

They are huge in size compared to us. Our speed and aggressiveness will tip the balance or it will be difficult.
