This is Tomlin, commenting on losing Rashard Mendenhall for the year last night after already having Willie Parker currently sidelined.

"Injuries always happen at a bad time," Tomlin said, repeating former coach Chuck Noll's message at the time. "They're part of the game. I'm not going to complain about them and go `Woe is me.' They're as much a part of the game as blocking and tackling."

See, Croom? Not every coach uses the injury bug to excuse his team's performance. Watch him use the latest injury to Elliott to write off another woeful offensive performance later in the year; I can already see it coming.
