I am not sure how much $ we have “freed up.” Word was a lot of donations were specifically tied to Stokes.

If you were a big donor, would you give Pope any $ at this point?

Tough question, but I am hoping that they freeze him out and secure his fate.

You realize he is 17 and plays in Spanish Liga right? It’s the best or second best league in Europe and is a much higher level of competition than the SEC.

He is also 6’7 and still growing now. A lot of the highlights are from when he was 15-16 and he has grown from 6’4 to 6’7.

Tape looks good. Seems to be a good driver with a solid first step. A few million bucks and being able to play in front of more than 75 people should seal the deal right?

Only issue is he’d be a risk to transfer to Illinois as the 5th “vic” in season 2.

If UK can land this guy, I'm fine with it. It's not like the portal is brimming with top notch talent at the moment.

Very talented and would like to get him. I do wonder how much of an immediate impact he would have at such a young age. Basically a high school senior next year.

Aren’t a bunch of other schools recruiting him as well? I think that hints at the success of getting this guy at Kentucky.

He does need to add strength. That's the way with most of the european players, but he has a great offensive feel for the game, and his upside is lottery pick potential. He shot over 40% from 3 in Spain this year in a legit pro league. Defense and Strength are his only weaknesses to his game right now.

I wouldn't and know a few who aren't. May not be THE BIG BOOSTERS but nonetheless do have some deep pockets. I also stopped giving and that will not change until the bball program is wiped clean

I could pretend that I'm not disgruntled with the program, but that's not how I roll. I liked the Pope hire initially, soured on it now.

I’m disgruntled with the state of the program as well, but that doesn’t mean I trash every guy we recruit because of it. Especially one mocked ahead of Stokes in some 2027 draft boards. To each their own I guess.

I don't remember trashing Diallo, Wilkins. In fact, I like those pickups. Excited about Hawthorne, wasn't big on McBride initially but came around to him, said positive things about the forward we got a couple days ago. So not sure what you mean
