That game was a hard fought game. That was exactly what Sterling needed. Congratulations to Woodstock Marian for a great season, you guys have a great team and have nothing to hang your head for.

That was one hell of a game. Really came down to the wire. 16-10 with 5 minutes to go an MCC with the ball. Sterling made the plays at the end and won the field position game. Just a great season for MCC to be in the quarters after the grind they went through!!

As for the coach going down, it was very hard to tell what was going on when there was that stoppage of play. It likely went unnoticed from people in the stands across the field. I hope the coach is ok.

According to Sterling Warrior’s earlier rant MCC was going to water the field to slow Sterling’s speed (doctor,cheat). Even though in MCC alum educated him on why their field is the way it is and I called him out for his ridiculous statement, he made no attempt to retract his statement. Then he went on to come up with excuses as to why they didn’t win by more.

I don’t believe MCC as ever doctored their field. I was just hoping that Sterling warrior would recognize the absurdity of his comments and stop.

Good luck to Sterling this coming weekend as they will need a Christmas Miracle to pull of this upset. Congrats on your win last weekend over MCC in what was a damn good football game. Oh, Sterling Warrior I agree with others posts to you regarding "you should have won by more" comment. MCC's DEF held you to 3 points in the 1sr half when you had the ball in the Red Zone 4 times...give credit where credit is due instead of making excuses. Sad.

this is an accurate statement. no ifs ands or buts about it. mcc's defense came to play and held sterling to its lowest point total of the season. the hurricanes were a formidable opponent and much better than their w/l record indicates. btw, what's the latest on the mcc coach who got injured on the sidelines in the 4th quarter? i watched the replay and he got tagged pretty good.

I didn't make any excuses about scoring more, my exact words were and I quote "Marion made a great stop at the one yard line or Sterling would have had 6 more points on the board. I also made a factual comment that Marion fumbled and should have not had those 6 points, it's a fact, I've never made another comment about it after all your jabs at me untill now, not only on this thread but the Sterling Phillips thread now too, you have singled me out can't let it go are bitter and are a bully, let this thread die. Here, will this make you feel better?........
MCC is the best football team in the state of Illinois and was a better team then Sterling but just caught a few bad breaks. They stopped Sterling in the red zone 4 times, Sterling had no speed, there defense is sub par and they just got lucky, If MCC (the better team) would have won they would definetly have a chance against Phillips, unlike Sterling,
