Steve Buckley OC--USM, done deal!

I kept hearing that he was probably going to get a CO-OC position and just focus on recruiting so he could get used to college play calling again. Regardless.. I'm glad to see him leave Petal. I try to keep my personal feelings about people off this board but Buckley is someone I never liked due to my experience with him.
Buckley will be a position coach. Bustle is going to likely be the OC. He was the OC at VT back in the 90s when Vick was there.
Ellis had to convince the committee that he would have a good offense. Bringing in a HS coach for your OC would not be a good start.
Bustle is rumored by seemingly everyone to be the leading OC candidate.

Evidently there were some requirements to be a coordinator at USM under Ellis.
1. Be a failed former head coach in the Sun Belt or CUSA
2. Last year be an assistant on a CUSA team that won 2 or 3 games.
3. Be unemployed.
4. Lots of gray hair.
Needless to say, USM fans are shaking our heads and wondering what the hell we just hired as our HC.
Tommy West will be DC and Ricky Bustle will be OC. I have been told our freshman qb that was so impressive this year in practice is probably out of there with the hire at OC. Can't say that I blame him. Unreal.
