This guy has been a head coach for one season, and was an asst at some smaller schools before murray state. He's never been at a big time program and murray state always has good teams. How is anyone fired up over this?

One reason I can think of is that Texas A&M was awful this year while Murray State had one of their best years. One could point that Prohm was a bigger factor in their being good the previous 2 years. That's all I got though.

I love the farewell speech press conference and all as much as any other dawg, but I didn't come away from it thinking all was rosy and 100% the idea of Rick. I do believe it was his decision ultimately, but I'm not convinced it was his idea.

He was told he had to do this, and this, and this, and this to remain coach....and he decided to didnt want to do those things.

So that's why when he "retired", he is still getting paid most of his contract...if he really retired, his contract would have become void.
