Your right. If Peterson doesn't work out y'all will probably get Bill Cowher. I imagine Byrne will make a solid hire, but it won't be Peterson. You can write that down.

Whether it's Peterson or not what little bit of recruiting momentum Nutt gained has just been quashed. Now the Mississippi kids will all be going where they really have wanted to go all along. They just needed a decent coach not a great one to be in place. If we get a great coach?...your recruiting class may finish in the 60s or 70s.

No, Ole Miss couldn't hire him either. Hell just 4 years ago we had to fall back to Orgeron. I'm not raining on the parade. Byrne will make a good hire and MSU football will be in a much better spot than it is now. But don't be delusional and think it is going to be Peterson. It won't.

In spades. We tried our damndest to ignore that Ole Miss had just made a very, very good move. Now they'll try the same...and fail...miserably.

As I walked in the door they were talking about it on ESPN2. It does feel like Christmas. As far as who we get, I'm wide open on that one.
