They've both gone out on a limb this year. Yancy thinks they get everyone (Robinson, Sanders, Thompson). Robertson says the same. Judgement day, baby.

Say that he thought we'd get all three? Last I saw he said he flet better about both Sanders and Thompson but that Sanders was still up in the air and would come down to signing day.

Steve says he thinks we get Robinson, have a better chance with Thompson than before (but still UM lean), and Sanders is anyone's guess.

FWIW, Robertson hasn't said at all that State will get them all. I have no idea what Yancy has said, but Steve said for a long time that we led for Thompson but that Turner leaving has hurt us. He basically calls it a tossup at this point, which is what he's said about Sanders all along. He has never said that State would get either. He does believe we have a good shot at Robinson but has admitted that it's tough to get a read on him. So...Steve thinks we have a good shot at Robinson, and it's a tossup for Sanders and Thompson. Yancy, I haven't read anything from.

If Yancy is doing either, and/or both, he's lying........If there's anything that is worse than a douchenozzle (and I'm not sure if there is) then that is what Yancy is.......

Turner leaving was an excuse for Steve to crawfish out of his statements about Thompson. I think Yancy is right on Thompson simply because Terry Price coached Quinton Groves, his god brother.

Yancy has never said we lead for Robinson. He has never said Robinson was even a lean.

I have no idea what exactly Steve has said. I've heard through posters here that he has thought that Sanders and Thompson were both MSU's at some point.

What exactly is a god brother? How does that work?

I've never thought about my god parent's kids being my god siblings.

Hell if I know. Obviously it means that Coach Thompson is the god father and that young Thompson feels close to Groves.

And I'd like to add, I just read Yancy's post from today where he list some predictions. He predicts Robinson and Coleman to OM, which is absurd.

I could see Robinson being a very longshot, but Coleman is not changing from Auburn in my opinion.

so don't go there.

Either way, Robertson is still on the line just like Yancy.

if Yancy turns out to be right, then the field levels somewhat.

is "shaky" at best. There is a good chance Coleman can be flipped to the Rebs.

UPDATE @ 11:14 a.m. SHON COLEMAN, offensive tackle from Olive Branch, Miss., had a good time this weekend. He's been listed as a soft commitment by the recruiting services, so Auburn used this weekend to re-affirm Coleman's feelings. The scheme apparently worked; Coleman said ``I'm going to sign with Auburn." He referred to Auburn as "my future team," but said he still may take more visits. Interested schools include Ole Miss, Tennessee, Southern Cal and Miami. Coleman is a big man, a strong-looking man. He looks like a football player.

I think they get Sanders and maybe Thompson and we get Robinson.

I think they have taken the good decision of " gone out on a limb this year". It will bring a better change in them.

Sanders and Thompson are going to OM and you guys are going to get Robinson.

I've always thought Sanders would end up at OM, he just wanted to enjoy the process of being recruited. I think ya'll were in good shape for Thompson until he roomed with Martin and Bennett at the All-Star game and your defensive coaching staff left. Maybe the Price family connection could have swung him anyway, but if the previous two things don't happen, I think he would have signed with State.

Ya'll just did a better job recruiting Robinson than we did.

Of the top 12 in the state, we are going to sign five (Sanders, Thompson, Martin, Bennett, and Parker), you will sign five (Wells, Eulls, Robinson, Johnson, Carr), and two will go out of state (Coleman and Dickson). I'm glad we are starting to keep most of the talent in state. Five years ago we were losing more than 50% of the top twelve out of state.

I think this is correct. Thompson's biggest thing was the all star game, and turner leaving, just as the miss fan above posted, but after reading his reactions with diaz and wilson over the weekend on BDJ, plus their in home visit with him and his family tuesday night, I think we get him back.

I think Wilson, not diaz, is the X factor here......Wilson is articulate, black, intelligent, and a helluva recruiter.....I hope we keep him around a while....

Yancy also predicted yesterday that they'd get cordell Giles from us. He literally thinks they will get every person they recruit, with the exception of Matthew wells

I think both of them have probably been leaving themselves enough outs on all these guys, because in reality they aren't sure. They just have people telling them that so and so is leaning your way.

Thompson is the one that's going to be most interesting to me. He's the one that both have been fairly confident about most of the year, but neither will say more than they think he is a lean to their school.

Robinson is anyone's guess. With his coach, you never know. I'm sure it's killing Samsel right now that basically everything has fallen through for Robinson except Ole Miss and MSU, with Bama backing off and UT's coaching change. I'm also betting Samsel is ticked that our staff is going around him, giving him the finger as they go by, to get to the parents of Robinson and Coleman without Samsel's permission. As I said, nothing will surprise me with either of those two given who their coach is.

If we do by some chance land the two OB boys like Yancy predicted, then I'll feel really good about our OL for the not so distant future. I thought we had a pretty good haul last year on the OL, and if we add them to what we already have this year, our numbers on the OL will be in great shape for the future.

On Sanders, I do think he ends up with us on signing day, though again he's well down on my personal list of concern. I'd rather get the big uglies.

ever.

Steve hasn't gone out on a limb on any of them. Maybe thats his way of being able to get out of dodge at the end, but he has been pretty open about what he thought.

He thinks we get Robinson but isn't sure.
He thinks we lead for Thompson but know that Turner leaving hurt us.
He thinks that Sanders..........He doesn't know what to think.

The clowns on OM spirit are professing that they get all 3. No one on MSU board has professed that other than maybe a couple of morons.
