Looking too much into the injuries? Seeing that as coasting for the season?

Maybe.

Lots of people on both sides of that one have no real clue what he is going to do.
You are correct. I have no clue. I have no insider knowledge, and don't know DS personally. Perhaps I should've made the title "I predict Stewart to transfer". That is of course if predictions are still allowed on a sports forum.

They are by me, but some people with hurt feelings lash out at things like that. If it goes against the narrative that everything is awesome, you get tears.

My comment though wasn't specifically for you. There are some who think hes gone, and some who think he is staying. Neither side really knows, regardless of the bravado brought on by a dad who coaches flag football.

As for your wording? I think we all could add a few more "imo" in our posts. Might cut down on others thinking we're all trying to be know-it-alls.

But, imo, I am a know-itall.

Stewart suffered a Hip Flexor back in the Oklahoma game. Those type of injuries will keep you pretty much immobile for 2 weeks and could linger throughout the season. People questioning his character over football related injuries that they know little about is disappointing but nothing that I have not seen before. Most fanbases only care about a player when he is producing for them.

That attitude isn't reserved exclusively for players - it's the impetus behind the "fire him" movement every time a coach loses a game.

What have you done for me lately?

Now that players are paid to play, if they aren't producing for the team they serve no purpose other than being a drain on resources. Stewart isn't some wide eyed innocent kid who is playing football for the love of the game and the love of the school. The players demanded an end to those days.

So you know Stewart personally and know he doesn’t love football?

Questioning their play when they are on the field is fair. However, questioning players character over injuries is over the line even for professional players. If you don't know what a hip flexor feels like, who are you to question what his motivations are. The problem was he kept trying to play on it like fans want. Stewart should have been out for a couple weeks the moment he went down non-contact after coming back in the Oklahoma game. I am not a doctor, but I know what a hip flexor feels like. Injured mine running track, and I could not run for two weeks let alone play football.

I don't know him at all and I have no idea how he feels about football. I do know he is getting paid money to play football at a high level and if he isn't doing that, he isn't doing his job and I have no need to care about how he feels. I only want him to produce the results he is paid for.

I'm not questioning his character at all. If he is injured, he is injured. That doesn't change the fact he is providing no value relative to the money he is being paid. I hope he gets well soon but I am not concerned about him beyond his worth as a paid football player.

You should be concerned because a healthy Dylan Stewart is the only way he provides worth as a player. Stewart is a shell of himself right now. Has only made 3 tackles since the Oklahoma game. Just have a guy out there right now with Stewart and the #6 on the back of his jersey. However, we have football geniuses on here talking about what he should be doing.

To be fair, some similar things were said about Juice when he was milking us for money.

Football geniuses were defending him too.

The truth is, neither "side" knows the real extent of his injury.

See, you are sounding like the scorned girlfriend right now. Every other man that comes around has to deal with your issues about getting burnt by Juice Wells. If you look at the facts, Juice stopped playing. Stewart did not. He is just in out and out the lineup and unproductive because he is not right physically. Stewart did get a sack against Texas A&M. So, hopefully he is rounding back into shape and able to give us a good game against Clemson.

I thought he had a good game against A&M especially considering he was being tackled most of the time; didn’t realize some fans had their panties in a wad. I only remember one game where I thought was maybe phoning it in sometimes.

Lmao

Forgot how pathetic your little pop psychology jabs can be. Guess pointing out your little habit of being a know-it-all hit too close to home. :)

I also remember now, you're Al Bundy. You played highschool 2A basketball, so you know everything about every free agent college football player ever. Pathetic.

But you mentioned facts. The fact is, you know nothing more about his decision making than anyone else who watches him on TV, or reads articles about him on the internet. You didn't with Juice, and you don't now.

Now pull out the card, you know you want to. Then tell me how Sellers is the top draft pick this year.

You are entertaining, if nothing else.

Well, not according to the hurt feelings brigade.

I vote to wait and see what he does rather than pretend inside info, or my dad having coached flag football giving some sort of insight.
Or maybe these posts are simple responses to the OP thread title

You have a point…..but he’s allowed to be injured for a game. NFL players usually get injured after signing a big contract. Dylan has played hard since he’s been here.

I criticized Stewart early on this season because I thought he was soft-rolling his way into the NFL. Every game after that, he has given it his all. So what if he sat out against CCU. Dumber if he would have played. His last bowl game in the garnet & black will be tomorrow. I hope he murders Klubnik.

You do know he's not eligible for the draft right?
or are you also predicting he'll transfer?
