Was something reported, or just rumor?

I really dont want to see players shutting it down for the year already.

Today's top players are 24/7 free agents.

College football, for the fan, ain't what it used to be. Most of these kids couldn't care less about the name on the front of the jersey.

Many of us knew it was over with NIL. We were right.
I think it’s universal. I grew up in a sports family, sports was basically my life. Somewhere around the time of MLB free agency it lost its grip on me; it lost its innocence in a way. I didn’t even know the baseball games I’ve been scrolling through the past week on my tv was the World Series until I saw a blurb in an email this morning.

Sure hope this is not the case. If it is, it just going to ad more negativity to a deeply disappointing season. NIL and portal have nearly killed the great sport of college football imho.

I don’t mind them getting paid true NIL. That’s not what we now have. They’re simply getting paid and, unlike the NFL, there are no contracts. It’s the Wild West now.

Vandy and Indiana fans aren't complaining.

He is right though about NIL and the portal killing college football. But, you are right too that Indiana has benefitted greatly from the Portal. Vandy, I guess somewhat, But we have greatly out recruited Vandy both in the portal and in high school recruiting. Lea is a superior "coach". We have significantly out recruited Indiana and Vandy in the high school ranks in the past few years.

Why do we assume a player gets added to injury report that he is opting out?

Puts more pressure on programs to win. If you lose, you are going to be constantly rebuilding. You are not going to see loyalty through adversity anymore.

He has had a bad attitude for last few weeks. A phenomenal talent but not a good “teammate”! (IMO)

Pull his NLI money and send him on his way! He was great last year because the dude on the other end of the defensive line was an absolute dawg!

Dude was listed as questionable. Nobody said he was out. Our fanbase sucks sometimes.

Why act like chicken littles?

oh look he is playing!

People who get their panties in a wad because a player gets added to an injury report late and start some nonsense about him opting out is typical South Carolina “woe is me” attitude. It’s embarassing

Can't "pull" NIL money provided by businesses for services rendered by players. If the player doesn't perform the service, that's between him and the business he defrauded.

That’s fine buddy, I’ve never been one to let one negative instance affect me emotionally to future potentials.
We have heard this all year in regards to Stewart because we have simply been terrible.
I think Stewart has proven he is willing to play through being hurt, which is nothing like Juice.
If this whole new era existed when Clowney sat out the UK game, I’m sure we would’ve heard the same.
