I always find lumping 2020 when they won the sec by 3 games with the final 4 years is a but unfair to cal and that team. It's not their fault covid happened.
I think it’s less a matter of the season and more a matter of time. Because the post season was canceled and then immediately followed up by the worst season in our entire history, followed by never having a good season after, the good years were another year removed.

Our (former) HOF fame coach and UK HOF player didn't win a championship in 2015. The latter was here one year. The former overstayed his welcome. I don't find myself rooting for either of them these days, but good on UK for celebrating them, I suppose.

Well, alright, young’uns, it’s Adolph Rupp, the ol’ Baron of the Bluegrass, speakin’ plain as day. I hear this John Calipari’s a solid fella, got his players lovin’ him like he’s their own pa, and that’s somethin’. He’s racked up wins, even a title or two, and I ain’t so mule-headed as to deny him a nod for it.

But let’s cut the hogwash—I forged Kentucky into a hardwood empire, four championships strong, back when the game was meaner’n a cornered bobcat. Calipari’s treadin’ my trail, and he ain’t close to fillin’ my boots. I’m the one who set the standard, and that’s the gospel truth. Compared to me, he’s barely a speck on my big hairy ***!

Now, I got better things to do than jaw all day—pass me my cigar.

The best years of his career happened at UK. The final five years don't erase that, and I hope this really chafes all those annoying Porky Pig fans. 😂
I loved Cal, it broke my heart that he got lazy at the end and couldn’t take any valid criticism to change. After he retires he should definitely be welcomed back and this is where his legacy should be though.

No problem with Cal coming back for something like this. I know I'm in minority but I wish he had simply retired and was still around Lex.
Same. Hard to hate the man when he gave me some of the most exciting years of UK basketball. As far as sports go he’s the enemy but I really wish he would have just retired. Even with the last five years being a disappointment he could have retired and been around the program still like our coach K but oh well.

Calipari is all about Calipari. He was the best at getting the most talent. He was the worst at trying to actually coach. He will go down in history, as the coach that accomplished less with more, than any coach in history.

That‘ not my biggest problem with him though. My biggest problem was the constant jabs, and shots he took at our tradition, our State, and our fans. He was always smug, condescending, and always thought he was/is the smartest guy in the room. He’s not.

He said Kentucky was his dream job time and time again, but then said he was going to take the Lakers job, but when the Harrison twins decided to come back for the 2014-15 season, he decided to return.

Then, he was going to take the UCLA job 4 years later, but, of course, Barney gave him the ridiculous contract.

Thankfully, he voided his contract when he goT caught talking to Arkansas. The only way to tell when he’s lying, is when his lips are moving.

Worked brilliantly for Pete Rose. LOL at the hatred these weirdos have over basketball.

Cal deserved to be here to celebrate with Karl 100%. That was an epic team. if only Wisconsin hadn't played out of their minds.

They really didn't. We were mediocre at best, and Cal was enjoying the plow mule formula. Can't rely on your defense every game in the tournament.

Yup, his Achilles heel. We lost so many games because he wanted to wait the clock out.
That’s what Bill Self was meaning when he said “we didn’t lose we just ran out of time “. Kansas had al ready beaten a Cal coached Memphis team for the championship and was a late game run in the 2012 championship game .

He's just hoping that John Wall doesn't forget him, like BBN is forgetting him. I will never see him as "one of us" ... because he's not, IMO. I had to laugh when he told Mark Pope not to screw up "his" program. Cal is literally, A PIG. Cal is afraid of the level of Pope's impending success and how it will continue to expose how badly HE screwed up this Program.

I like the way you think. Most definitely isn’t Cals program and never was. He wouldn’t have a championship without UK.
