This really does seem like a pretty cool league. Some of you need to get in on it

24.95 per season- each season is about 3 months long...

However, you can win credit for future seasons if any of your teams from Rookie League to ML make the playoffs...and the further you go, the more credit you receive

It's well worth it

Coach34 has told me that I am the Pittsburgh Pirates of this league. Hell, I had no idea they would be that bad. I was just choosing the team from Memphis

in another league...its tough to just sit back and not sign some FA's to get competitive, but like any franchise would, you have to think long-term...especially since our league has a spending cap

I want to spend, but at the same time I am not sure what putting more money into scouting does, if I am the one doing the scouting. or will they give me help on finding players?

you put into scouting is for your scouts. The International scouts bring prospects to your attention, while your college and HS scouts evaluate for the draft. The more money you have in scouting, the better they evaluate players for the draft.

But you dont want to overdo it, because you want to be able to sign 3 or 4 really good IFAs this season in addition to who you draft. And you can add to the 20 million in your prospect budget by not increasing alot of salary on your payroll and transferring the excess to your prospect budget

we won 100 games last year and I have most everyone back...I am going to extend my paroll budget because i'm in a position to win it all.

I'm going to sign a couple of IFA's but put almost nothing into college and HS scouting because of my low draft picks...the draft wont help me much having the number 30 pick in round 1...

And few players make the Majors after about pick 60

the more you should put into scouting until you get your team built up? And then gradually bring that money down?

you have the 10th pick in round 1- your are going to get a possibleall-star type player at that draft spot...make sure you have 12 or 13 million in both scouting departments to make that pick count

before the draft to evaluate and fix your draft board according to how you want them...moving people up and down according to what you want..you also decide how many you want at each position and so on
