Still think Cignetti is lucky?

Well OSU’s kicker just shanked a 20 yard field goal to tie it. So he had some luck.
OSU’s play calling in the red zone reminded me of our team this year. On one drive, 3rd and 1 at the 12, they tried a pass that fell incomplete. Then tried a QB sneak on 4th and came up short. Should have taken the points there. Then did the same thing on another red zone opportunity, failed pass on 3rd and 1, which put their kicker on the far right hash - not the easiest angle.

Indiana’s staff is more impressive than OSU’s.

Is he not playing under the same rules as everyone else?

You can beat Ohio State, Michigan, etc. at their own game, or you can sit around and make excuses. Good for Cignetti for choosing the former.
He brought players in.... Or you think these are IU players before he got there????

Yeah, he couldn't have....I mean, is this even debatable??
Yeah the fact that Cignetti couldn’t have won a conference title under rules that don’t exist anymore makes me feel sooooo much better about IU being light years ahead of the Husker “rebuild.”

We should also sit around and wax nostalgic about the good ol’ days when freshman were ineligible and no team could play on TV more than twice a year. Might as well go all-in.

This just shows that a coach that isn’t scared and can find and develop talent can still win without a massive NIL budget.

Who gives a **** where he got his players? Do Rhule and his band of buddies not have the same opportunity to find and develop players?

If dismissing Cignetti’s accomplishments makes you feel better about the sorry state of Nebraska football, you’re proving my original point better than I ever could have.

I think Indiana gambled and won the lottery. No doubt Saban gave him a great recommendation. I posted multiple times in our job search that I would be fine with a no-name coach from a lower tier. Had no idea who Cignetti was.
The Husker coach that Cignetti reminds me of is Dave Van Horn. From day one he said he didn’t give a **** what the obstacles were, wasn’t interested in making excuses, and was taking the job to win championships. Of course plenty of guys say that, but not many walk the walk.

I saw that Indiana has zero 4 or 5 star players on the roster. Cig is an anomoly, 1 of 1. We can't compare other coaches to him.
Coaching matters and we don’t have good coaches so that’s what we will live with because the Nebraska higher ups couldn’t give a F about winning.

And then left after getting your feels all warm?
