I’m over this guy like 4 mos ago. Doesn’t want to be here even though it’s probably the most beneficial to him. Screw him. Move on to somebody that isn’t gonna be a cancer down the road. There are good players EVERYWHERE out there.

Maybe the addition of Brown to UK as de facto GM has thrown another wrinkle into the negotiations. Probably not, but staying positive.

Kind of a lose lose situation here. If we land him, half the fan base will say we overpaid. If we don't, the other half will say Pope doesn't want to pay up.

Why Peterson? He played in games, singlehandedly won a few, and gave it his all in the tournament. I would say Kansas outperformed their talent level in getting a 4 seed -- and their loss came down to the last shot vs another good team.

Pope lost Stokes awhile ago unfortunately. Him going to a Adidas school takes the cake.
Crazy that we have to hope Self retires to get a kid we have led for and prioritized for months. Plus we have offered him the best offer in a culture of getting the biggest bag. Yet can’t lock him up. Just a sad state.
Sadly Pope doesn’t have the recruiting ability, cache, or time to be able to turn down a talent like him. It’s all or nothing for Pope now and he can’t land a better player at this time.
We really need to just go in and throw another 500k at him. Or make him some backdoor promises that the NCAA will never be able to contend. I don't like paying a lot for these guys.. but Kentucky basketball REALLY needs a shot in the arm.. a good bump on a Friday night if you know what I'm saying. I totally agree with this. Duke has proven signing the top player in the nation every year for the past 10 years doesn’t pay off.
May be stupid but as for me I'd probably rather watch team of Stokes at $8 million and $4 million worth of other kids around him than the team we will probably wind up watching instead.
