Doubt they go after Butch
If they're smart they will hire Casey Dunn from Samford. Former Auburn baseball player that has done great things at a tiny private Alabama school like Samford. Has tons of connections in the Birmingham area from coaching at Spain Park, which is where former 2nd round draft pick and current Bama freshman SS Mikey White is from, and Dunn just knows baseball. That would be a fantastic hire for Auburn and would put them back on the map in baseball. If Auburn goes away from Dunn I would be highly surprised.

It would suck, but its hard for me to imagine a SEC school hiring a baseball coach w/o HCing experiance. I would consider Tenn a lower tier baseball program, and they went and got Sorano a few years back. I think a CUSA or Sunbelt school are more likely to snatch up Butch than another SEC school.
