Briarwood CC a few years ago. Big Drive on #12, big three wood to a blind green. After looking for the damn ball for 15 mins a buddy of mine looked in the hole and there it was.

/I havent been on that green in two since

Edit to add: The rest of the round was utter ****. I think I shot 84 or something like that.

for one of Tracy Echols' high school bombs as it went directly over me, over the fence by some 100 feet and off the school building located behind the fence. Took one step and admired it.

#2 - in south state, fouled off an 0-2 fastball from Pete Young that I never saw. Did not see strike 3 either.

I was All-City in Chicago my senior year of high school football. I once scored 4 touchdowns in one game. I played for Polk High.

coming back from 3-0 down to beat the mighty St. Al flashes 4-3 in soccer. And also just being part of the game that convinced the VHS-WC AD that we should never play St. Al again. Not sure if that's changed.

But really my best achievement was winning the vhs-wc-clinton district in doubles tennis after both had beaten us earlier in the year. Especially since Clinton was scared of Jordan Henry (8th grader at the time) so they moved their best guy to doubles. I'd just started playing and had improved a lot.

Scored on a scissor kick against some crappy team (crappier than we were) in high school too. That was cool.

ran a 5 minute mile once...then puked up my guts

first play in high school ball (frosh) I sacked the quarterback of st. andrews from the opposite side of the field at outside linebacker

ran back a kickoff in junior high for 99 yard td. the kid kicking had a damn good leg.

MS High School Football Hall of Fame - scholar athlete

saw my brother put his hands under DS's ***, get the football, pitch it to me, then i ran literally through 4 greenville st. joe players for a td and then got ROCKED in the endzone late. it was on wlbt3 as the highlight of the night.

bench pressed 140lbs above my own weight. not that good but good for me.

last... i parred 6 holes at St. Andrews in Scotland, including #1

Didn't totally suck and drank free Abita afterwards. It was a good day.

I wasn't interviewed, but I was focused.

hit by Jeffrey Rea which hit a woman in the head. I caught it off of the richochet. Dave Neal called me a nice young man because I gave the ball back to her. (classy post)

Having one certain coach say to me after my last game........ " Saddawg, for a skinny little **** who will either end up in prison or the loony bin, I have say, you can play a little. I'm proud of you."

That's the only compliment I ever heard him give anybody.

I think I'm the only guy to drop a foul ball and not get boo'd at the Dude. Jon Knott hit a rocket into the 1B chair-backs. I hung in there to try and catch it, but it smacked off of my hands hard enough to land in the bleachers.

My best sports achievement was breaking Franklin High School's (TN) 400m record. It was broken again 8 months later by almost 3 seconds by a guy that ran a 47....

My sophomore year of high school I broke through the line and hit the qb and running back during the exchange causing a fumble. The qb was jp wilson. I also intercepted him 3 times in a scrimmage. I probably had better moments, but I really didn't like that guy.

Soccer:
1. Winning a state championship my senior year and setting the foundation for a soccer dynasty.
2. Scoring the game winning goal in the state semifinals against St. Al with about 40 seconds left in the game. Our game was also 4-3.
3. Being selected to the MS Association of Coaches All Star game where we handled the "South" team 5-0.

Football:
1. Scoring a touchdown the very first time I touched a football in a game. It was about a 5 yard catch, then 40 yards of hauling ***.
2. Scoring the game winning TD at the homecoming game my senior year with 13 seconds left in the game.
3. Playing DIII football for Bob Tyler at Millsaps (he didn't coach much but he had some great stories).

Baseball: Hitting a triple off of Beaver (the Patriots kicker) in summer league ball going into my senior year.

I made a couple of interceptions in 5a football but I don't think of those as great. Golf is my current sport. Nothing impressive but my list of what I would call achievements:

1) Eagled #10 at Pinehurst #2
2) Shot a 90 at the Old Course. You had to be there. Driving rain, wind, 55 degrees. Caddie said it was a 5 club wind. Plus the rough over there.
3) Birdied three holes in a row at Kingsbarns Course at the St Andrews Links.
4) Shot a 93 at Carnoustie. Again 30 mph wind. The most unforgiving rough I have ever hit out of. 2 yards off of fairway.
5) Current best score of 81 at my home course.

I ran a 4:27 mile as a sophomore. Came in 2nd in the state.
Of course, I weighed about 145 at the time. I hit a growing spurt after that and never broke 4:40 after that.
I got a pick off of Romero Miller in high school too.
I also returned a kick off for about 96 yards against New Albany my senior year.

Makes me wonder why I am such a fat, lazy *** today.

You know how sometimes a guy might say something like, "I know people." Apparently AgDawg and DerHntr are those people.

We lost the game, but I was one of only two players to score a goal.

I have played other sports, but soccer by far takes the most endurance.

Well I am only good for golfing trips and the occasional Memphis Grizzlies tickets. Otherwise I am in the same boat with everybody else.

Catching 180+ yds, 3 TDs and a 2 point conversion in a single game that we ended up losing 33-32. May not sound too impressive but I was a TE on a wishbone team and had to convince them that we could actually throw the ball against this team during half-time...yeah...I didn't touch the ball to the second half.
