They had a list of "more famous than good" athletes going.
A few names are Dale Earnhardt Jr, David Beckham, and Anna Kournikova.

Who else would Joe Sixpack add to the list?

Can't say she wins a lot.

And she's still feeling out NASCAR. There are probably 10-15 other drivers that can say that. None other with an *** I'd tap though.

He's just had the misfortune to play when Federer played. He's still a Hall of Fame player. And he did finish #1 in the world in 2003 and in the top 10 for 8 straight years.

is more famous than his results say he should be but give the guy a break. he won a US Open for goodness sakes. I think to properly be on this list you have to be relatively famous and have absolutely nothing to show for it. i mean John Daly hasnt done **** for 15 years but he does have a British.

One. She won that on fuel strategy/luck. The leaders all had to pit for fuel. She absolutely sucks as a Nationwide series driver. Can't imagine how bad she would be in a Sprint Cup car.

This is his 5th season in the league and he still hasn't rush for as many yards in his career as Chris Johnson did last year. And he is yet toreceive2000 yards in his career as well.
I'm not saying he isn't good, just saying he is "more famous than good". And please, don't use the injury excuse. comes to my mind. He was a good football player that was an overhyped creation of the media. Meanwhile Percy Harvin and Aaron Hernandez did all of the work for him.

I'm sure that this will upset some Ole Miss fans, but I have to say Eli Manning to. He is a solid NFL starting QB, but because of who his family is, and his teams Super Bowl win where the Giants WR/TE caught the ball of off his helmet and is now never to be heard from again, he gets a lot of fame. But, he's basically an average QB otherwise, and a QB that has done what he has typically wouldn't get as much attention otherwise. His career QB rating is 79. something. The other two QB's that were drafted with him- Rivers and Ben Rothlisberger are both in the 90's for comparisons sake. Also, Jason Campbell's QB rating is 82 for his career.

Tebowdidn't even have Harvin his SR season (and I don't think Hernandez either). In any case, neither of them got a single one of his rushing yards or TDs. And there has never been any question about who the leader of that team was. Florida's offense took a small dip when Harvin and Hernandez left. It's in disarray without Tebow this year.

Pretty much agree about Eli, but you've got to give him credit for his play in the postseason their Super Bowl year. He was outstanding for those 4 games. Otherwise, he's been a very mediocre NFL QB.

Tebow is the greatest quarterback in COLLEGE history. You can debate that but there is no way you can discount his numbers to say that he was overrated. If I'm not mistaken (which I very well could be) he is the most efficient quarterback in history. He lead two teams to national championships ( you can say he didn't his freshman year but without him florida doesn't win) and he broke the barrier for sophomores winning the heisman.

ETA. This was supposed to be in reply to todd. Obviously

Reggie doesn't play every down, and he isn't a between the tackles runner. Look at his receiving yards, they're off the charts. He finally has an identity on his team, and its a hybrid rb/wr, not a CJ runner. Everyone get's injured? Everyone gets banged up, sure, but not everyone tears their PCL. HE hasn't wond the MVP award yet and everyone acts like he's under performing.

Just look under choke in Websters for his picture. Does Romo and Wade Phillips have pictures of Jerry Jones with a goat or something?

He's not even theSaint's #1. I guessPT is all-world material.

Receiving yards off the chart??? Compared toBrandonHeavens maybe. I guess being in the top-10 in recieving yards is "off the charts". Seriously, he hasnt caught for 2k yds for his career. He's averaging 484 yards receiving per season (an that not counting this year). Thats good, not "off the charts".

Brian Westbrook was much better Bush in the peak of his career and hasn't got a fraction of the hype. Look,I'm not saying Bush is bad. Just saying that he's morefamous than good.

He was one of the best in the world for a fairly long time. But he was never famous in the USA for anything other than marrying Posh Spice until after he was over the hill.

He wasn't famous for being good at basketball, but he was damn good at basketball. Definitely not more famous than good. Premier defender and rebounder for a long time before he became a basket case (or at least before he became an unmanageable basket case)

But damn, when you say "Dennis Rodman" to most people, they think of all the weird stuff he's done over the years (including when he played), not his great defense.

They know him as an announcer and from Madden Football. He still got his fame from coaching though.

Same thing with Rodman. He was famous first for what he did on the court and not for the shenanigans. Although, you could argue that he got more famous b/c of the shenanigans.

I don't discredit his rushing stats, leadership or that he was even a great player. He is not that great of a passer. He is a great runner. Hernandez and Riley Cooper had to make circus catches all game in Starkville.

The question was which athlete who is more famous than good. His fame exceeds his actual talent. If he was that good he would be tearing up the NFL right now. If he was that good the pros wouldn't have to try to correct his entire throwing motion. College is over for him.

He's like beckham. Beckham is famous (in the U.S. at least) as much for marrying a spice girl as he is for how he played soccer. But he was good enough in his prime to be famous (if people in the U.S. cared about soccer).

Rodman was famous for being crazy. But he was good enough to be famous (if people cared about rebounding and defense).
