Stonewall Jackson is coming. They just been working all year for this game. They already knew they would be in.

In all seriousness, they probably wont win, but they do have a couple decent players

O I agree. But with the number of teams in Region, which will be upped some next year, it's either the 6 in with 2 winless teams, or top 4 get a Bye.

Top 4 should get a bye. This is a joke. What is the record for most losses in a row? SJ is gonna give that record a run for its money, barring they pick up a Rappahannock County or Massanutten Military strength team for their schedule next season.

It’s a Region decision on how many teams allowed in tournament and not VHSL. I don’t disagree at all about it being wrong but the VHSL doesn’t make the region take a certain amount of teams. That’s why you see a discrepancy in some regions on how many teams are allowed in.

It seems like a lifetime ago, yet it wasnt that long ago they were pumping out some decent football squads at that school. Any clue why the bottom fell out? They're moving to the Bull Run correct? It couldnt be any worse than what they're stuck playing against right now I suppose...or could it? lol

They had a D-1 player named Richard Long who went on to play college ball at Appalachian State. I think he was on that team that upset Michigan in the Big House. But I have no clue as to what happened after that.

The diluted Bull Run will be a more favorable district for SJ, but 2A competition in the postseason will be brutal. With the current trend of renaming schools that are named for Confederates, I'd like to suggest the new name of West Windsor for SJ.

Is that area formerly known as West Windsor? Mount Jackson High would be fine with me, but might still be too offensive to some considering there is currently a movement to rename Austin, Tx... (powers that be, please dont lock this thread.. please)

They do move to the Bull Run next season, along with Page, Luray, and East Rock.......so they will be able to play Rapp Co

Will Rapp actually play a full district schedule though? They struggled mightily vs. the private ranks this season.

Yes-However, I'm not holding my breath as if I can recall they bailed on the Bull Run years ago as the season began.

If Stonewall is ever forced to change its name, and nothing surprises me anymore, they would have choices such as Quicksburg, New Market, or Southern Shenandoah. At least if they ever change, then all the confusion between them and the Stonewall Jackson in Manassas will stop.

SJ in Manassas should have been Prince William High. At least I think it sounds good :)

I believe there was a New Market High School at one time but since the present schools sits closer to Mount Jackson thats why I picked Mt Jackson High, though Southern Shenandoah is an option as well. It better not be Mountain View or Park View or Parkside or whatever..but I'm sure thats what they'll go with

I was making a joke about how SJ is going to be facing the same issue as Windsor is down in Tidewater. They are similarly sized schools, moving from 1A to 2A, competitive in some sports, but dumpster fires in football.
