Away student tickets went on sell this morning at 8 and 3 friends and I got there at 4:45 and were the first people. We decided to just wait instead of coming back later.<div>
</div><div>Around 7:30, Stricklin came and talked to us at the front of the line and asked what time we got there and asked what games we were going to. Then, of course, snapped a quick photo for twitter. About 10 minutes later, he came back with 6 "Grindin' for My State"Adidast-shirt and gave them to the first 6 people. When he was talking to us, he got a phone call from Greg Byrne,Stricklinsaid something along the lines of "I'll call him back, he's probably just jealous of our ticket line." I think that's funny they stay in contact.

</div><div>This was my first up-closeencounterwith Stricklin. Very impressed. My first 2 years, I couldn't even tell you what LT looked like.</div>

they looked like that from where I was. Still cool nonetheless by Stricklin to hook yall up with shirts.

I got there at 6:30 and was about number 25, that extra hour was crucial

Well I am pretty jealous of that. I badly want one of those before an event I'm running in on Sept 17th. Hoping I can find that in the bookstore that Thurs when we play LSU.

None of them on mstatestore.com yet.

i moved from starkville a couple of weeks ago and i went to the lodge and the b&n multiple times before i left to see if they had those shirts. the people working at both places looked at me like i was asking if they sold cocaine when i asked if they sold them. anyone know where they are sold?

on not knowing what LT looked like. And I hope I never see him again.

I have taken off work a couple Fridays the past 2 years for home games to sit out there on Friday and Stricklin and Mullen have both walked through the Junction shaking hands and taking pictures. I know for a fact that LT and our previous coach wouldn't be caught dead walking through the junction talking to fans and hanging out on a Friday before a game. Being fan friendly is what has brought our fan base together like never before, and the reason our school and program are in their present state. That being said, I look forward to taking off a couple more times this season and getting out their the day before the games.

Enjoy your time as a student there, especially when our athletic teams are doing well. I had to endure some of the shittiest football (and some baseball) ever as a student, and wouldn't wish that upon anyone.
