There are a whole lot of people that owe Stoops an apology. Matt Jones said it was false, and many others. If it is in fact false as it appears, there is a whole lot of people who owe an apology.

On top of that, someone needs to go down for slander.

Also, great win tonight!!! Go Big FREAKIN BLUE!!!

I agree Stoops should apologize for the way he has coached his team up to this point. It shouldn't take a rumor and being called out as the worst D in CFB to motivate this team, but it did.

I'm just trying to figure out why not crush the rumors at like 10 AM.. UK could easily of had people contact Jones and the media and say everything is false but no........they did it after we won .

I dont know if the rumor is true but ............it could also be boosters spread the rumor just in case they needed it as ammo if Stoops had lost tonight.....maybe???[/QUOTE
maybe they did not respond because they don't want the media, social media, little teenage girl type gossips determing when they release info and/or the topics they address . the more a business or person responds to those in media, the more it fuels their desire to put crap in print. Media types as well as those who spew crap simply do so because they seek attention. If I was mb, I would not address the issue at all. I would let people say whatever they want, then when the time serves the interests of the university, only then make whatever statements I wanted to release. You never allow the media to dictate your actions.

Let me define media as our local guys...

MJ, Vaught, JRow, etc. there was definitely a lot of "can't say it's true or not" speak.

Definitely increases the conversation.
These are the people who owe us ALL an apology. They most certainly added fuel to the fire with their deliberately cryptic statements. Even if they were doing it for S&G it was wrong, and they should lose a lot of us as listeners/readers/viewers over it.

We know what you mean. 6 wins is almost out of the question so we need to buy stoops out because he sucks major donkey lugnutz since he's proven to be a garbage HC. He's a terrible head coach. And beating the worst team in the SEC by one score at home doesn't prove otherwise.

Worst team in the SEC beat Vandy on the road.

That's what I don't get...if something has no basis in fact, why wouldn't UK speak to it and bury it?

I have accused people of a lot worse in my life. I think will be okay if I don't apologize. We actually didn't accuse him. Just discussed possible accusations on a public forum. So again no apology from me

Seems to me there is very little chance that the whole story was made up whole cloth. Probably equally small chance that the whole thing was entirely true. So, my best guess, something happened in Stoops private life. Was it a firable offense? Who knows. Unless it was, we may never know the whole story....

I do not recall one poster stating it as fact or the originator.

Team was playing terrible and the buyout is more bothersome than the coach himself.

A rumor spread across every UK board, multiple rival boards, and the main boards will be discussed here.

The absolute silence from the press and the odd tweets from UK only perpetuated the potential that something had happened.

That rumor didn't change anyone's opinion of the coaching situation if this team doesn't continue to improve.

B.I.N.G.O. B.I.N.G.O. B.I.N.G.O.and bingo was his name!!

I will just enjoy the win this week and worry about the rest later. There is ALOT of season left and many things can and will happen. Whatever is happening behind the scenes in this program is their business.

Those that were saying "it's true", and there were some on here that did that owes an apology.

The worst were those saying they hope it's true. What a sad life you live to wish bad things on people that hurts so many that are innocent.

Whether it was a fireable offense depends on your record:

1-3: Yes, we had to do it for the good of the program.

2-2: No, and we demand an apology from fans for the rumors we tacitly pushed with our odd comments about firings and "statements" that were supposedly forthcoming.

3-1: What rumors?
