Need someone to find out if he is in the cat walk. This will answer at least the question of whether he coaches the game tonight. You don't see him I'm sure Gran week be coaching the rest of the way. If he's committed some kind of serious off field atrocity then I don't see how you allow him to coach. It's a completed distraction, give the players a clean break and a fresh start.

I think he'll coach no matter what. The players and parents were revolting against BCG and we knew we were firing him for weeks........and he got until the end of the season
If the rumors are true Stoops will be gone. BCG didn't do anything as nefarious as the rumors suggest. Had he also done so he would have been canned long before the end of his 2nd season.

If the rumors are true how is he even still employed if he abused his position to take advantage of someone vulnerable? Just a hypothetical question. I would think if it's bad enough to get you fired then there's really no sense in keeping him to the end of the season and let it continue to be a distraction. Especially when you still mathematically have a chance at 6 wins. Jmho

Thank god that part isnt true. But based off of Justin's tweets and Jones's "most of" statement, something is up, Stoops is likely nearing the end of his time at UK.

Just because a portion of the rumor may not be true doesn't mean it's all not true. Maybe the packing up stuff wasn't true but the other things did happen. We're not going to get definitive answers tonight most likely. All Stoops showing up for the Cat Walk means is that he's coaching the game tonight.

My semi-educated guess would be that if they are going to fire him with cause, then Human Resources would have to be on board for it so it doesn't kick in his buyout. Purely a guess on my part, but I've seen it play out that way.

For the players' sake. Not the best move to tell your players their coach got fired the day of an SEC game. It's pretty clear why UK would wait until Sunday or Monday to make the announcement.
Or suspend him and say he's "sick" or any number of options if you want to avoid adding to the rumor mill. Like I said, just a guess on my part.

It's pretty crazy what a football game can make some people wish for.

The thought is UK wasn't expecting it to spread like this. A pretty dumb expectation on their part, but not impossible considering the parties involved. Stoops' family being there and him coaching the game doesn't prove that it's untrue. Like everything it's conjecture.
