Yeah, but Bannerman and Looney are true freshmen and Bonner is coming off a stabbing (Mar 19, 2016) injury last spring. I'm surprised Bonner saw the field although they were expecting him to possibly start before the injury.
"Bonner was stabbed three times (chest, back and abdomen) and cut three times on March 19. At the time his mother, Karen Barhams, told a Cleveland TV station that doctors said her son was "lucky to be alive" after the incident."
"I am working daily to getting back to good enough size to come in and make an impact," Bonner, who has three years of eligibility left, said. "I know I will start at the bottom and have to work my way up."

Probably under weight, not really strong enough, and were freshmen like. Now they have a season of weight lifting and weight gain behind them, and they are now red shirt freshmen.
