I am not a football genius or anything, but all these people saying it takes time and people are being impatient make me scratch my head. Does it take a while to build up a team in SEC? Yes and no one will argue that. How can you defend the coaching today though?
The TO on the punt was just insanity.
Constant running on 2nd and really long against a really good defense.
The lack of pressure brought against a freshman quarterback who wasn't showing really anything.
People question the qb situation but just look at the stats Towles had through his first 17 passes. Barker made a mistake and it was costly but would he have made that mistake given some experience?
And for the love of God for as many times as our special teams are on the field to not have a special teams coach knowing that we have some of the worst statistics in those categories is inexcusable.
There are plenty more things I've questioned as well but the apologists have to start holding this staff more accountable. He's getting paid a lot of money and I am fine with it taking time but I could pick up How to Coach Football for Dummies and it would tell me don't run it with 50 seconds left in the game and a whole field ahead of you to get a GW TD.
