That's a start. I'll save my personal evaluation on Stoops till the end of the season. Right now it's an F

Keep your eyes on the bye week after Vandy. Maybe Stoops will cut Eliot loose after that. The bye week would be an opportune time to do so IMO.

Wasn't there a point last season where he had taken a bigger role in the defense as well?
I don't think so. I know he took more of a role on the offense towards the end of the season, but I don't think he did on defense.

Yup. Most firings happen during bye weeks. Think its safe to say Eliots job is hanging by a thread right now.

He has been the de facto DC since about year 2. This is nothing but misdirection and I have zero confidence anything will change. This is year 4. This team is not miraculously turning it around. It is disorganized and deplete of defensive talent, especially on the line.

So basically, Eliot will be the one thrown under the bus this year. He's not proven to be a good DC. But Stoops is responsible at the end of the day. He hired him.

Go to a UK football practice. It's very easy to find Mark Stoops. He's anywhere the offense isn't.

Mark is in the early stages of denial right now.

Listening to him tonight he sounded like the coach he appears to be on the sidelines - one that is way out of his league.

uk, don't bet money on him cutting Eliot loose. I think he will move him to another coaching job, but keep him.

At the end of the year is my guess. If he cuts him loose around the bye, who will he blame the piss poor D the second half of the season on?

He's not going to fire him in the middle of the year. That's just stupid if you think that. This happens in football all the time. You get demoted, but still coach your position.

And what's with complaining about doing it for're Mexico state. You prefer he let Elliott look ok for a week and do nothing.

I get it, this year sucks. But you babies need to stop creating even more reasons to pout.
