8-4 is not how you take the next step.
I almost wanna cheer cause your right… but I can’t. Just short of a disaster again.

It's sad people think there is a next step. This is it man. We aren't winning anything that matters in the sec or nationally.
The next step is nearly impossible. It's not a failure to be having what we think of as a bad year and go 8 and 4.
We won today in spite of Stoops, not because of him
I disagree respectfully. We are considered a tough out now. We weren’t before.
Now we need to figure out NIL and hopefully get modern and take the next step.
8-4 in this era of college football isn't the flex we think it is because we can schedule 3 wins, 4 max. Enough to beat Vandy, Mizzou in SEC, and UL and get a participation trophy bowl. Gotta demand more, and hire better. Jump hard on NIL

I get what you're saying, but it won't get better with Stoops ball. He took us to another peak, but he's unable to climb the next one with his current coaching philosophy.
Next step is to win the SEC. The conference wins are against teams with a combined losing record

He has reached a ceiling for his brand of football. It nice to have a 9-10 win season but this might be as far as we go. Not to mention we need 2-3 cupcakes each season. I love Stoops but he has plateaued.
I’m a big Stoops fan, but I don’t think today is the day to be banging our chests about him. We did everything we could to try and lose that game today.
You and I and my son will be dead and we still probably won't have won the modern sec.
Stoops as taken this team as far as it's going to go. If we were in a different conference it would be different, In the SEC an eight nine win season is outstanding. Considering our long painful history in football, we need to be happy with it.

Yeah, the next step is winning the division where the current #1 and #2 teams in the entire COUNTRY are battling it out to do just that.
Let’s not pretend this “next step” is one more baby step in a long line of them. It’s the hardest step to take in football. One of the four best teams in the country is going to walk away short from winning just our DIVISION today. If we were in the ACC the next step would be much more manageable.
I'd say UK won today because of his (and Marrow's) recruiting. Years gone by, UK does not have the depth to handle injuries to 2 best lbrs and 2 safeties (Tisdale and Geiger).
But coaching has sucked. Esp the special teams coach.

Next yr we have UT, Florida and Bama (now vulnerable and will lose Bryce and Anderson) at home. Georgia on the road will be tough.

With the current NIL situation that will never happen. Two years ago we went into Knoxville and beat them 34-7. We may never beat them again for years. They signed the number 1 or 2 rated QB in the nation after guaranteeing him 8 million dollars in NIL money. He was previously committed to Southern Cal

Anyone using "kentucky" as an excuse/reason isn't with the times.. we are one of (soon to be) 16 teams that are in the best conference that every kid in tbe country wants to play in. One that can pay kids as much money as anyone ..

We go 10-2 in a couple of seasons we are making a 12 team playoff which would be incredible and bring a lot of excitement to the BBN
